About the event

Noah is a character in the Bible, his life and work are related in the book of Genesis whose authorship is traditionally attributed to Moses. According to the sacred writings; he was the tenth and last of the super-ancient antediluvian patriarchs whom God himself warned of a great universal flood to destroy all living beings for their sins. Noah is an original character.

Noah's family consisted of his wife, his three sons; Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their respective wives, whose names are not mentioned in the Bible. By divine command, Noah and his family build an ark with the dimensions specified by the Lord, which served to house him and his family, as well as all species of animals, during the Flood.

Noah is considered by the Abrahamic religions as the father of humanity through the descendants of his three sons.

According to the scriptures, Noah died 350 years after the flood, at the age of 950 years.6 This makes him, after Methuselah (who lived 969 years) and Jared (who lived 962 years), the third longest-lived man in the entire world. Bible, n. 1 even more than Adam (who died at 930). After Noah, life expectancy plummets to the "meager" 120 years of Moses. In proportion to his long life, he fathered all three of his sons when he was 500 years old.
