More than fifty years ago, a stone thrown into a cave by a Bedouin herdsman led to what some have called the greatest archaeological find of the 20th century. After investigating the noise the stone produced when breaking a clay pot, the Bedouin found the first Dead Sea Scrolls, as they were later called.
